Frequently asked questions:
Q. I want to make outdoor labels that must last up to 5 years.
A. The ONLY WAY to do this is to screen print onto vinyl media or film using industrial ink that is certified for this purpose. Our vinyl bumper sticker paper is designed to last a period of 12 to 24 months.Q. Will this product hold up to the elements?
A. We’ve tested our vinyl bumper sticker paper in the car wash, torrential rains and to extended periods of direct UV sun rays. In all three of these situations the product has performed well. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ALLOW THE BUMPER STICKER TO DRY FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES AFTER PRINTING.
Q. How can an inkjet media be waterproof if the ink itself is water-soluble?
A. The concept is similar to what happens if you spill fruit juice on white cotton fabrics such as a T-shirt. The dye molecules get trapped in the cotton fibers and cannot be removed easily using only a gentle stream of cold water. Sometimes warm water and soap will not even remove the stain.
Q. Will it work in my printer?
A. Yes it will work best in all printers made within the last 5 years. Depending on your printer you may be able to print two bumper stickers per sheet. It is best to do a test print in grayscale format to see how the bumperbanner settings are formatted to your printer
